For the first time, Lee County will offer Badminton as a sport in tho 2006 Senior Games to be held in late January and early Feb of 2006. Badminton competitions will be held on the 29th of January at the Wa-Ka-Hatchee Rec Center in Ft Myers. Singles. Doubles and Mixed Doubles will be offered. To get detail information on the senior game click on the Florida Senior Game Link on my home page. To compete in the Senior Games you must be 50 years old. If you do well at in the Lee County Senior Games in January you could qualify to play at the State Championship Senior Games held the first week of December 2006. Lee County will host these Championship games for the next tree years i.e. 2006, 2007 & 2008. If you do well at the Florida State Championship Games you may find yourself qualified to compete at the National Senior Game to to held in Lexington KY in June of 2007.
