The Dixie Strollers, getting to be refered to as the First Street Strollers are becomming quite popular in Downtown Ft Myers when the stroll from 6:30 to 8:15 PM every Friday night along downton Ft Myer"s First Street. If you like good old fashion Dixiland music you will love these guys. Four in the group (Banjo,Tuba,Trumpet and Clarinet) play your request at your table outside your favorite resturant. A few of their often requested numbers are The Saints, Bill Bailey. Closer Walk, Bourbon St Parade, Tiger Rag, Way Down Yonda, Darktown Strutters, Found A New Baby, Running Wild, That's A Plenty, I Ain't Gonna Give You Any of My Jellyroll. Sweet Georga Brown, Warbash Blues. Basin Street, Tin Roof Blues, Shine are just a few of the 35 to 40 songs they play every Friday night.
