| A Little Bit of History About Us | This is a site for Old Folk who think Young; and Young Folk who will some day be Old Folk. Although our name GFE sounds big it only takes two of us to run it. Luckily we found each other late in life and are happily married. Parts of Gerry French’s Enterprises started a long time ago; because most all of them started as hobbies. Officially, Gerry French’s Enterprises started the day he retired in 1986 after working 36 years as a nuclear design engineer of Nuclear Submarines starting with the Nautilus.Since that day he has not once thought about submarines. Gerry says he never retired; he simply changed jobs and became the CEO of, (you guessed it) Gerry French’s Enterprises a 24/7 position with no vacations. Jeannie joined him three years later.
