New Orleans Style Jazz with That Big Band Sound If it’s a “Big Band” sound your looking for, The Dixiecrats is the band you need. Dressed in blue blazers and gray pants, they take on the aura of the old big bands that toured the country in the 40’s and 50’s. They can even show up in tuxedo’s (if you want them to).

To produce the Big Band sound you need a full complement of musicians, The Dixiecrats use a minimum of seven men, including trumpet, clarinet/sax, trombone, keyboard, drums, string base and banjo/vocalist. Melodies like “Pennsylvania 6-5000”, “In the Mood”, “You Made Me Love You”, “All of Me”, “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love”, “It Had To Be You”, as well as Tommy Dorsey’s “I’m Getting Sentimental Over You” and Benny Goodman’s “Let’s Dance”, are just a few of the great numbers these musicians play. A medley of Glen Miller favorites with take you back a few years.

Don’t be caught short on those important dates when you need that special music.
