Who are “The Banjo Ragtimers?” This was the first band organized be Gerry French in 1982 in Hampton N H. It is now made up of only banjo players and a bass  or tuba. They are a  group of four string banjo players selected by Gerry to complement each other.

What events are they best suited to play for? This is a concert group designed to play many of the old banjo standards some of which are the same songs played by Dixieland groups but with lots of Banjos ringing!!!

What’s a typical Banjo Ragtimer Program look like? Some of the songs you will hear them play are Bye Bye Blues, Sweet Georgia Brown w/vocal, Robert E Lee, The World Is Waiting,  Alabama Jubilee, Basin Street Blues w/vocal, Wabash Blues w/vocal, 12 Street Rag w/vocal ,Tin Roof Blues w/ vocal, Saints and Bill Bailey w/vocal , Tiger Rag ,I Found a New BabyRunning Wild , Dr Jazz w/vocal, Do You Know What it Means,  I Ain’t Gonna-Give You None of My Jelly Roll   and a host of others.

 What will it cost to hire The Banjo Ragtimers?

The 5pc.Banjo Ragtimers have a minimum fee of $275 for a one hour performance. 2hours---------$500 3 hours --------$ 650. Allowances given for special organizations and multiple performances.
